One problem is that the diagram doesn't deal with signal field coupling between the wires/paths which - with their series resistance and inductances - can still create hum (and distortion) on the output. Getting these low can mean a lot of attention to the wiring layout. (This is one area where Class A scores as the currents on the rails aren't 'half wave'.)
