Lyrical double entendres

Did this mean what I think it means now back in the 60s?

'Once upon a time you let me feel you deep inside.'

Richard Meltzer in 'The Aesthetics of Rock', pointed out that the words 'Baby, baby, I'd get down on my knees for you' from 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling' took on a whole new, filthier meaning when sung by a woman.

He also speculates about whether the lines in 'Satisfaction' that go 'I'm trying to make some girl/Who tells me "Baby, baby come back/Maybe next week/Can't you see I'm on a losing streak?"' refer to menstruation.

Of course it did.
Many of Cohen lyrics were loaded with sexual references.

“The walls of this hotel are paper-thin
Last night I heard you making love to him
The struggle mouth to mouth and limb to limb
The grunt of unity when he came in…

Paper Thin Hotel

or Hallelujah

“There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
And I remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove she was moving too
And every single breath we drew was Hallelujah”

Sledghammer - from start to finish

"You could have a steam train, if you'd just lay down your tracks"

"I want to be your sledgehammer, why don't you call my name"

"Open up your fruitcage...."

Oh oh the french girls with the string of pearls
Think it's such a burning shame
That the local boys with their country joys
Never make them daisy chains
They're swapping disappointing incidents
While at the docks another ship pulls in
And suddenly the door breaks down (ooh la la)
It's the seven deadly finns

Oh oh oh soldiers and sailors
Have all been here before
Gigolos and governments
Have stumbled through that door
Because they need all those french girls with all their kiss curls
And powder in their guns
And the seven finns with their deadly grins
Tend to measure beauty in tons.

The first is a freak with a masochistic streak
And the second is a kitten up a tree
The third is a flirt with an awful print skirt
And the fourth is pretending to be me
The fifth wears a mac and never turns his back
The sixth never shows his eyes
But the seventh deadly finn is so tall and slim
He should of never been with those guys.

Although variety's the spice of life
A steady rhythm is the source
Simplicity's the crucial thing
Systemically of course
So if those french girls say to you
Would you like your ashes raked?
You'll have to take their word for it
It's the only thing to take

I wish I had a girl like you, my baby
You make an old man stand up straight
You drive a young man crazy

Entendres: I don’t know how many this is, but it is so true… LC ‘ I ache in the places I used to play’

Surely one for David and the boys?

The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or, so I've read.
My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I love to sink her with my pink torpedo.
Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about bum cakes
My gal's got 'em.
Big bottom
Drive me out of my mind.
How can I leave this behind?
I saw her on Monday, twas my lucky bun day
You know what I mean.
I love her each weekday, each velvety cheek day
You know what I mean.
My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game's waiting there inside her tights.
Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about mud flaps
My gal's got 'em.
Big bottom
Drive me out of my mind.
How can I leave this behind?

Grace Jones - Pull Up To The Bumper

"Pull up to my bumper baby
In your long black limousine
Pull up to my bumper baby
And drive it in between"

This must be one of the most famous ones.

I want a man with a slow hand
I want a lover with an easy touch
I want somebody who will spend some time
Not come and go in a heated rush
I want somebody who will understand
When it comes to love, I want a slow hand
