Long departed Record and Music shops in Liverpool

I bought some of my first singles at Nems near Blacklers (Gt Charlotte St) in the early 60s. The great thing about Nems were the listening booths which gave you a chance to hear some of the interesting music of the time - the BBC Light programme being a total waste of time. I went off to University in 66 by which time I was buying albums mostly while there. I did buy a few while back on Merseyside in the holidays - I'm pretty sure it was at a place called Beaver Radio. I think they were primarily an audio shop but they they had a surprisingly good record dept. Surprising, since they stocked a lot of West Coast stuff (Spirit, Love, Airplane, Dead) which was unusual at the time for a "mainstream" store.
