Linn Lingo mk1 LP12 not working

After being switched off for about a year, I plugged in my 1990 vintage LP12 last night to listen to some vinyl. When I press the start button on the LP12 plinth neither the red or green light will come on and the platter does not spin. The power light on the Lingo is on and the cable is correctly attached. What is the most likely cause of failure and how do I get this fixed? Thanks in advance.

Off to Class A in Sheffield for service/repair.

Check the switch ribbon cable is correctly seated in the socket on the PCB inside the LP12 before assuming it's dead.

Hi, where was it kept, don't say a garage as it will be full of damp, let it dry out,, same as loft,
