I hope I have come to the right place to ask - If not please point me in the right direction.
The last thing I want to do is cause bother.
I have a Linn Classik Music.
The headphones socket works but Speakers don't - Help!
There is some sound coming from the speakers but it's low and distorted.
Does anyone know what the problem is please?
I bought it from a Car boot sale 5 or so years ago and I bought it to sell.
BUT I made the mistake of plugging it in and then there was no way this gem was leaving me.
It's the best sounding thing I've ever owned.
I hope someone will let me know what's wrong with it.
I have an idea but I'd like some advice first.
Thank you.

A "Classik" symptom of dirty contacts in headphone socket failing to re-connect the speakers when the phones are unplugged.... IF you are lucky.... I suspect it may be more sophisticated than that and have a separate headphone amp built in which is working but the main power amp may have failed... @linnfomaniac83 will know more on this

It’s not a fault I’ve encountered, it uses two TDA7924 chips, if one fails, you either get a loud hum from the affected channel, or nothing at all.

I’m looking for my schematic on my iCloud drive, can’t find it right now. I have Covid and whilst I don’t feel particularly ill, my workshop is bitterly cold, and I am feeling that… I’ll go and look on my computer in there in the morning.
