I had a problem with my Linn Classik, bought in the late nineties. The CD seemed to work mechanically, but no audio and the power switched off al the time. I´m not an enigineer but have little experience in fixing things.
To make it easy and not try to analyse the exact cause of the problem I changed ALL the capacitors (about 20 or so in different sizes). It costed me 15 bucks. All i needed was a soldering pen and a desoldering sucker.
And my Classik works as new again.
I use a bluetooth audio adapter connected to the aux input and stream my spotify from my tablet, works like a charm.
