Those who are interested in DSD , I mean native - not listening to DSD back converted to PCM files on usual mainstream toys flooding the market today, might find this write up interesting and whole thread informative:

Please have a look here :)

To clarify few things which looks like a bit causing some miss understanding.

THE DAC DSD only is a Level 4 /generation 4 dac, like a regular one ,just w/o PCM engine, so it lacks spdif input as such , and hosts USB one only. That is because it had been designed as a expansion DAC for those who own already very expensive units for PCM playback they paid for a lot and have no need to loose money selling them ,etc. Just looking for another machine for DSD compatibility.

Those who are looking for one box solution the regular Level 4 /gen 4 dac will be the better choice as if one likes to add DSD engine to the circuit it will only cost him £ 500. It means that USM input for PCM is also included into it as it is shared, so referring to £ 200 option for PCM USB only you in fact are getting DSD for value of £ 300 only if that makes sense.

As our LampizatOr review section had been vastly updated last week , I am linking it here on the bottom for convenience. Please check it out both, those who had been there before as well as those new to the subject .

In case of demo ,please feel free to contact us to arrange that ;)

Another interesting write up came from Scot Hull, The Part Time Audiophile who already revisited Level 4 DSD only dac. To find about how it does stand against his current reference , please go here ...
