KEF Meta absorption

Marketing bullshit proliferates throughout the hi fi industry but that doesn’t mean that there haven’t been significant technological advances over the years. The trick is to identify the real advances amongst all the hyperbole. I’ve just watched Steve Gutenberg’s review of the new LS50. Unless he is either grossly deluded or plain lying, it sounds like KEF have come up with a genuine innovation in the field of sound absorption. Will be interesting to see if other manufacturers try to replicate it.

I watched this yesterday and am intrigued. In a sense I don't really care what technology is used, although it does make for interesting reading, but I am interested that Steve found these 'Metas' to be significantly better than the original LS50s. I'm wondering how they compare to the R3, which has also been on my radar - the new LS50s look pretty nice too, especially the titanium version. Looks are important! :)
