Leave it alone, no gains to be had there.

Thanks david, i wasn't sure if the caps might be aged. The felt sounds like a good idea.

Film caps will probably outlast the drive units.
Try shouting into the empty cabinet, that’s what the back of your driver can ‘hear’.

Um you could replace those resisters with mills wirewounds or at least just the one in series with the tweeter but there is always the danger of changing the balance of the sound in a way you don't like.Is there something you don't like if so it's worth a punt you can always put it back.
Next thing to try would be the inducter in series with the bass ,swap it out for a Jantzen air coil of the same value including resistance.
You need to spend a lot of money to get any improvement on the film caps so I wouldn't bother.

I think i will leave as is. I thought they were electrolytic caps and would be passed their use by date. But as it turns out they are film caps . Now to put the cabs back together.
