I didn't watch the fight, but the highlights popped up on YouTube - Oh dear...

Oh dear what? You needed to watch the whole thing to get the ending in context. Joshua's 'speech' at the end was something you don't get very often; one boxer holding his hands up and saying that the other boxer is the better boxer; not just on the night.

Ok he spat his dummy momentarily but I can get it - he's pretty much finished at the top of the game, he's been pummelled over twelve rounds and he's human. My only controversial moment was one of the judges giving it Joshua's way, which was frankly ridiculous.

He's a boxer, not a master orator, and he's had his head pummelled for twelve rounds.

Not defending the guy because it's obvious he's limited, but it's always good to get the opinion of someone who has fought at a decent level. I'd be interested how you and your corner would have orchestrated something different?

I am unable to comment as neither a boxer or corner man, the nearest I ever came wass when I worked in a casino and Alex Buxton was a doorman, he wanted me to be trained by him as a heavyweight, I babbled my way out of it. By coincidence he also resided in Watford

How you can suggest he made a fool of himself as a boxer is beyond me. I suppose this is evidence that just turning the telly on doesn't make you an expert.

For me he’s only ever had one good win, against Klitschko, even then, it was at the very back end of his career, but credit to him on the night, he came back from nearly being knocked out.

Unfortunately, for all his physique, looks and niceness, he’s simply not been good enough on the world stage, similar to Bruno, game enough, but ultimately doesn’t have the ability and instinct of a really good boxer.

I called him a boxer because that's what he is, you said you weren't sure about the boxer bit because he made a fool of himself. We never talked about the belts - you just manage the conversation how you see fit.

Limited - as I said earlier. If you get heavier to blast a robust and mobile boxer like Usyk out of there, you are on a hiding to nothing. Although his movement was better than the last fight, Joshua couldn't pin him down nearly enough to do any meaningful work.
There isn't an answer to the Usyk problem for Joshua; bulk up and slow down or shred down and try to compete on landed punches which he never will do.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fury stays retired - although he is much the better, more skilled boxer than Joshua and the rest, fighting Usyk could be 12 rounds of mental hell and I'm not sure he could remain patient through the frustration of trying to catch greased lightening.

Good points about weight, but with either (light or heavy) he hasn’t got the guile a top boxer needs. I was going to mention Fury, he’s a far better boxer, without the physique, he’s the epitome of a ‘boxer’.

Fury is on another planet to the rest of the traditional heavyweights, Usyk is the only test. Joshua is one dimensional - undoubtedly.
