It's Brian Eno's 70th Birthday. You Can Sing Along With Him Here ...

Time isn't ambient, it has a persistent beat. Brian Eno is now 70 years old.

You can sing some spirituals and songs with him to celebrate if you like ...

I enjoy some of his ambient stuff, but his singing is best avoided imo. Think he ruined a few of his early records with horrid nasally squawking monotone vocals.

Funny enough I love his early squawking monotone vocals. Taking Tiger Mountain and Here Come The Warm Jets are brilliant imo. Then he raised the bar even further with Another Green World.
Not so enamoured with his ambient stuff though.

Socialism is the only workable form of Liberalism. We the people and Brian Eno own the means of production for ambient music and singing.

Jack

His return to singing in the background of James' "Laid" album makes me glad he still tries :)

Limited signed copies of Music For Installations on CD and vinyl now available from Rough Trade. It's released tomorrow. It looks and sounds lovely. Be like Eno 1973 not Eno 2018 if you want a copy.

Listening to the first disc of Music For Installations at the moment on Spotify. There is an element of magic in Eno's music sometimes.

Hey. If you start those links to the Creepers and The Winkies together it sounds quite good, actually.

Never really forgave Eno for doing all that U2 bolony
