Hi, I’ve got some old royd derwent speakers (1985) and the connections inside I’ve not seen wired this way before.
From the rear terminals it goes...one set of wires to the 8” woofer/mid bass, then from same driver to a mid/tweeter, looks just like the old whalfdale purple unit (that has a cap etc attached to it)
another set of wires from the speaker terminals goes to an xover then the tweeter.
they do sound very nice. Wondered if it’s due to the inside Wire configuration.
anyone else seen speakers wired like this?
