Internet radio Apps for Mac

Hola folks,
I have a mac mini which I use to listen to Tidal via audiovarna and I'd like to be able to access decent quality internet radio without a subscription. I've just downloaded Vox but in order to access anything other than mainstream American stations I need to subscribe. Am I asking the impossible or is there a simple interface that doesn't require jumping through flaming hoops to listen to hi res audio radio stations.
Thanks in advance
Rob

@snaphappybob

I'm in the process of reviving my 2012 mac mini (High Sierra). So far I have installed Squeezelite and currently doin' LMS.

I control the mini via an iPad using Google Remote thingy.

Using Chrome as a browser it is possible to install Desktop shortcuts (or just use the Apps page as in the screenshot)

It's all a bit clunky, but I tend to have a limited selection of radio stations.

Lots of stations are streaming good quality noise through the web interface these days :)
