I'd recommend people try the Sonneteer Bards Headspace gizmo. It seems to take the sound a little more out of your head, and a little more like listening to speakers. It's quite subtle, but at about 15 quid, worth a punt.

What does it do, though? From the description, I'm guessing maybe stereo crossfeed? That effect is vital for me (hearing songs with hard-panning in headphones makes me dizzy) but presently I can do it pretty transparently in software.
