Illuminated mains switches - neon bad, LED good?

There was mention of the fact that neon in a switch might throw some crap into the circuit. Just found these - there is a version with an LED looks rather nice, but would that solve the prob? I assume the switch must either have a very clever LED in it, or a rectifier and resistor to drop the voltage down. Thoughts?

It's said that Leds festooned over gear can be noisey too, but well designed and isolated from the rest of the system I can see a problem.
