How to price and sell damaged kans

Hi, I've never opened up a pair of speakers and don't want to start messing.

Pair 1 has split cabinets and pushed in tweeters. Drivers look fine.
Pair 2 is intact but beginning to split. One tweeter has gone, I'm told. The other is fine as are the drivers.
Both kan1's.

Any ideas as to how to price and proceed! I'm based in North London but travel about a great deal in the South and up to Oxfordshire in the summer months (wherever the cricket pitches are dry...) so could potentially get them to someone who knows what they are doing.

Ideally, someone would come with a tool kit and make me an offer.
But what's a pair of drivers worth?

Thanks!

It sounds like they really are only worth the scap value of the drivers that still work. The pushed in tweets from pair one may still be working and with some gentle manipulation could possibly be coaxed back to the non-inverted status. The cabinets in various stages of splitting are NFG and pretty much without worth.

So you are left with 2 pairs of mid bass drivers (which are a bitch to remove), worth maybe 50 UKP a pair, possibly one pair of tweeters (if you can undo the pushed in thingy) at maybe another 50 quid and the one intact tweeter from the other pair.

All in all, I wouldn't pay more than 150 UKP for all of the intact drivers. But somebody may, and there is an entire world of somebodies out there. The driver value maybe somewhat inflated due to the fact that replacement midbass ones are near impossible to source, although there are some replacement non-original tweeters that are reputed to be even better than the originals.

Thank you very much. This is very helpful.
Is pfm the place for this or are we crossing into ls3/5a and jr149 specialist territory??
Are crossovers worth anything - not that I've seen them?

(And then there's the dodgy minstrels...!)

Thanks again

I take it the mid/bass drivers are Kef B110s ? If so, they would sell. I sold a pair from an old pair of Kef Concertos for £70. Quite a surprise...
