Help please MC 323 R10 overheating

Hi,

R10, the 470R between emitter of Q3 and 15R to ground on the 323 MC board issue 2 is overheating on both MC boards (unmodified).

the circuit board is brown and the top layer on one R is flaking off - I am a bit surprised given this is a low power stage (in preamp).

is this an issue or concern?

thanks,
Mark

Yes that one does run hot. It's actually only just within its .5W rating.

If it bothers you then you can change it for a higher wattage one, but a bit of discolouration isn't anything to worry about.

thanks for that information.

I might up the W when I change the caps and split/dual-power supply.
