Heed Enigma 5

Only heard these speakers at the Bristol hifi show a few years back and thought they performed quite well but never heard in a dem or home environment. Just wondering if any one uses or have had any experience with them. I use Exposure amps and suspect they would work with them but curious to placement and if they would work close to a wall.

Just thought I would bump as I thought someone on here would be using them or at least heard them.

They aren't easy to hear in the UK - I don't think they are imported now, even if Heed electronics still are.

Shahinian and Neat have models with similar layout, and the Kibri Naima from several years ago used the same semi-omni design... but my eventual choice was Duevel Planets, bought unheard on the basis of universally good reviews and not regretted.

They’re very good. Connected Distributionin Cheltenham bring them in. Give them a ring and find out where you can hear some!

My main concern is how close to a wall they can sit.

Pretty close in my experience. They’re very similar to Shahinian Arcs in that respect. As ever room acoustics are the single biggest factor. Listen to a pair, it’s the only way.
