An interesting mod but I'm not sure I follow the logic behind lowering the MF/HF crossover point from 5.5kHz to 4kHz to improve off-axis performance by replacing the HF2000 with a Celestion HF1300 and Coles 4001 supertweeter pairing which is going to introduce its own off-axis integration issues, something I have first-hand experience with having owned several of the larger IMF models and also the B&W DM4. I guess it depends on what the lesser of the two evils is. (Note: I have not watched the videos detailing the upgrade yet).

Haycross AUDIO. A pair of refurbished and upgraded Celestion Ditton 44 speakers. I'm calling these the 44 XR due to the modifications made. The idea was to improve the 44 by using Celestions HF1300 tweeter and the Coles super tweeter in place of the HF2000.
