I don't compare servers. I work in IT and systems development for a living. I'm not crazy enough to go looking for the Loch Ness monster. I know it doesn't exist.
In the same way that my old windows net book used as a server into async dac sounds the same as my Mac mini connected the same way. Only the mac does it with less fuss. I'm not looking for differences where none exist.
I accept variances in technologies like PCM over coaxial because they are flawed and differences are possible. It's simply not possible for asynchronous usb to sound dufferebt from one source player to the next.
