Funny how things work 2nd time around (or more times) I got wind of this by Fox (i think, sorry if wrong) and it seemed like a good rec. so i bought it and was underwhelmed.
Well, i just had tidy round and found it in a pile, so on it went again. Its bloody brilliant and i don't know how i didn't get it before. The musicianship is brilliant and sounds well recorded to my ears. Richard Williams on trumpet especially, its also very bluesy, far more than i remember. I suppose the lesson is don't chuck things on a pile and forget it. Amazon says i ordered it in March 2009, so the post must have been from about that time. Thoroughly recommended.
