I had a used CD3.5 for over a year now, it was my 2nd Naim product I purchased, the first being the Nait 3 which got me hooked to this brand.
It's been said and debated a thousand times before, but it really gets you into listening music. I spent extra and bought a pair of MKI SBLs for peanuts, a CB NAP250, a CB HiCap and a CB NAC62. I think that synergy between equipment is half the battle won.
My missus loves her concerts and live performances, but has no interest in hifi whatsoever aslong as it plays her music collection, yet even she was very impressed with the sound.
