I love this album and have an original. I saw the recent MPS repress and wondered if anyone had been able to compare it to the original? Better, worse, the same? :)
 
I can’t help you on this one, but I do have a UK Decca/MPS original of the absolutely wonderful The Aura Will Prevail and it is very warm and weighty compared to the digital version (I have the 4xCD fat-box of all the MPS stuff). Unless the current vinyl issue claims audiophile pretensions I’d assume it was digital (most is) so maybe crisper than your original vinyl. Whether that is good or bad is entirely up to you. Based purely on my Aura vinyl and the CD box the ideal is somewhere between the two IMO!
