  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Nearly the same age as my late dad. Both similarly grumpy with amazing sense of humour. RIP both.

    What a pity.
A wonderful voice and a great feel for comedy. Even with a mediocre script he gets me laughing. Roger allam and Bill nighy share this gift.

Some of David Nobbs' best writing, and only Palmer and Rossiter could have done it so well. Also, very 2020....

Indeed, a great voice and a face to go with it. What a prolific career. I really enjoyed Butterflies with Wendy Craig when I was a student. We owe a debt of gratitude to actors like Geoffrey Palmer, they enrich our lives and take all the risk in doing that. RIP.

Indeed. My Wife always insisted on watching it. I often wondered what she was trying to tell me...

I remember Butterflies, his wit was wonderful. Just watching him in an episode of Inspector Morse

Realised he’d died when I saw his photo in the desk on The Last Leg.

One of my favourite voice actors (alongside Geoffrey Whitehead and the aforementioned Roger Allam and Bill Nighy). I was listening to him in A Murder of Quality not long ago.

Sad he’s gone, but a good innings and a great body of work. RIP.
