I hide away a small dedicated computer, which runs Roon, and I connect any dac of my choice to that, it is solid/reliable/enjoyable!
I would make sure you enjoy the software and that the ‘streamer’ ( stripped down computer) plays everything you might want it to.

Another thumbs up for the Auralic interface and having heard several of their products I always like the balance of the sound which is detailed without being clinical as many other digital stuff can be.

I just picked up a new M1 Mac mini. It's awesome, see other thread!

Unfortunately I had no chance to compare with the other models mentioned but it's better than a well set up Allo Pi + external DAC, which is itself fairly well regarded.

Use the headphone jack for a one box solution.
