Are there any sites where you can download free high quality lossless files.I would like to try some to see if they are better than normal cd quality.

Yes, There are some free samples on the Linn music store site.

I don't know about free hq lossless, but you can get samples to listen to from many places and then buy some if you want:

I think Apple's EMI record downloads are also at a higher bit rate than other record companies.
