Sounds like vintage B-52's. Saw them at the Hammersmith Palais (on a rare trip to the UK) supported by the Au Pairs in 1979/80. They were absolutely brilliant live.

Me too! Plus I saw them at Hammersmith Odeon around 1990 too, when they had Julee Cruise standing in for Cindy.
