Flatcap2

Has anybody cloned a Flatcap2 or have a schematic? Can anybody confirm the DC voltages (the manual says 2 x 22V and 2 x 24V; does mean 2 x 0-22V & 2 x 0-24V?). I currently run a CD5 and Nait5 and would like to start experimenting. Has anyone replaced the OP604's in the CD5 with OP627/637's?

nope but i've replaced the op604s with AD8610s on brown dog adaptors in a CD3.5 and the improvement was truly excellent. And cheaper too.
You can buy AD8610s directly off the AD websiteb http://www.analog.com/commerce/index.html if you have a VAT number or live in certain countries. You can get a couple of samples free too.
Otherwise try schuro http://www.schuro.de/preisl-opamps.htm, about £5 each though not used the company personally yet. brown dog adaptors are at http://www.brndog.com/SMTAdapt.html about £20 for ten (inc postage) if I remember and delivery in about a week.
ad8610 are supposed to be OP627 'killers'
AD825 are also good.

cheers

as far as I can tell: good service, quick delivery. I ordered some parts from there a few months ago, and everything was delivered quickly and packed safely.
Mind you, one can expect this considering their pricing... ;)

Best regards,

Oliver
