Ubi fides ibi lux et robur
Anyone else see the large fireball in the sky at 21:54 this evening, startling to see on Wirral whilst walking the pooches?

Rare meteorite chunk traced by scientists to Gloucestershire driveway

‘Dream come true’ to locate first carbonaceous chondrite seen in UK, part of fireball that caused sonic boom

Landed as a great THUD on their driveway.

I wonder how much cash will be exchanged / claimed?

It has been just named as the "Winchcombe meteorite."

Good job family were indoors and not in the driveway.

That depends on the missing leg!

I once had to stare down a 3 -legged dog over the chair I was sitting in. Dog claimed it was his and wanted to sit in it. I had been invited by someone to sit there, so I did. I won.
Apparently, the dog had lost an argument previously......... with a railway train.

3 legged dogs walk and hop at the same time.

People walk by transferring weight to one leg then move the other unloaded leg, tripods would need to unload one leg to be able to move it then unload that leg and another etc. Each step would take 3 moves as opposed to 2 for a biped. The body would be describing circles as it walks running would be a very interesting.
