Finally got there, my forever speakers!....

I actually find swapping kit around a thoroughly daunting & tiresome experience. Tend to keep stuff for ages. Current system is mostly pretty new after a 20 odd year naim dalliance.

My current forever loudspeakers are Yamaha NS-1000M. They have stood the test of time, and sound pretty damn amazing at the end of adequately powered class A amps.

But as loudspeakers are room dependent, my forever loudspeakers would be as long lived as my forever home.

....I should have added that in my O.P. James.....same room over the 20 years and it’s a really valid point as I have heard speakers of mine (2nd system) in different rooms and the change in dimensions alters their presentation absolutely, for better or worse

Pioneer C-21 / M-22. Similar vintage to the Yamahas, designed in the late 70s.
