Exposure cdp issue

I have an original exposure cdp which has developed a fault, everything works but when fed to the amp/speakers nothing, unless I crank the volume up then there is a lot of hiss and I can just about hear the track playing.
Any ideas as to what the issue is please?
TIA

Tried different cables? Different amp input?

Other amp inputs working as expected? I’m absolutely sure you have, but do you definitely have it connected to the input you’ve selected?

Other than that, sorry no advice.

Doesn’t have a variable output does it?

Hi, tried different inputs, different cables and sources etc, def an issue with the cdp, basically have to turn volume to max to hear the track which is barely audible.
Rgds

Don't know the player so the following is possibly a silly idea.
Is there a volume control on the remote, if so whack it right up as there may be a variable output you've inadvertently changed. Many older Jap players did this as volume was tied to the headphone output but it affected the line-out volume aswell.

IIRC these original Exposure CDPs have some sort of relay setup that you can actually here make physical clicks between tracks.
Maybe this/these have stuck/failed?

Cj66 could be on the money. Cdp had a track change muting relay. Totally weird.
Relays are finicky things.
Drop Exposure an email. Tony Brady should be able to advise in due course. Busy man.
Was a great help when my old CDP died.
Gave guidance. Transformer short. Got sorted. Great support.

I would call exposure direct they are a great bunch.
I’m sure they will have a look at it for you & not charge a fortune.
If you need another one I have a silver one available in excellent Knick.
Cracking cdp these.
Best of luck!

Thanks, I didn't know they did this one in silver
