Door/windows in Bristol

I know this comes up now and again, but son has bought his first house and it needs some(!) work. Being in Bristol it was crazy expensive and they were hoping to get a composite front door to go with 3 replacements for single double glazed units that have blown. A bit shocked by a quote from a family firm for over £5k. I’ve already suggested reining in their enthusiasm and getting a wood door….

I know composite doors are relatively expensive but can anyone recommend a good company in Bristol that they should also get to quote?

Flip ..thats rediculous . I just had a double glazed obscure unit fitted which included 2 new hinges for 125 quid

Door should be no more than 2k absolute max .upvc will be cheaper than wood . Look around there is cheaper
