Really interesting documentary on the city of London and offshore banking.

Some interesting facts, there are about two and a half million qualified accountants in the world, three hundred and fifty thousand of them are in the UK.

Apparently HMRC cannot supply any evidence that any company involved in PFI has ever paid any tax.

HMRCs London office is owned by a company in Bermuda...

I watched this a few weeks ago and its highly recommended.

It's quite dispiriting watching it as the corruption is so deeply baked into the system it's difficult to see who would remove it, though they could start with the corporation of London, that is a law unto itself that needs getting rid of. The investigative reporter who got a job in one of the offshore banks was interesting, out of one hundred cases he randomly checked, every single client was in some way breaking the law.
