Hi are there any decibel aps , for free, that last longer than a week, used to be with DC, now they want £8 a month,

have a huge, demo next week and want everything to be at the same level ,
i guess around 80 dbl, ish just played pink Floyds comfortably numb, big spike to 88 dbl,

They are crazy inaccurate. Or they can be. The one I have is and doesn't register anything over 80dbl. Why not just buy a proper sound meter off eBay?

Try sound analyzer, it's free and no adds. I use it on Android and does the job for me.

I’ve had dB Meter on my phone for years and don’t get mithered to upgrade or pay. I haven’t calibrated it, but it seems to be in the right ball park. But if you’re looking at level matching where it matters, I’d not use a phone app given how cheap proper sound meters are.

It's a very long time since I did hearing loss claims for the Boilermakers but I seem to recall that the ENT surgeons advised that anything over 80 db would be likely to cause hearing damage over time.
