Connecting B&W PV1 Sub direct from M-DAC?

I've bought arcam_boy's B&W PV1 subwoofer, and as I wait for it to arrive, I wonder if connecting it directly to my M-DAC using one of these male to 2-male RCA splitters (http://www.thatcable.com/product/Loops-1-to-2-RCA-Male-Audio-Video-Splitter-Cable-Lead), not via the supplied RJII telephone socket-type cable from the power amp's speaker terminals, would be beneficial or even advisable.
Does anyone know? Thanks.

A bad idea, this would connect the two channels together and give you mono (at best, at worst it will do bad things to your mdac). Also, since the diagram only shows using it with the sub out of a processor, there is probably no crossover on that input, so you would have your sub attempting to play full range music.

Connect to the speaker terminals.
