Connectin dac to pc via uab

Hi.

I want to try stdeaming from pc to my dac vya usb.

Ill probably just play from itunes on pc.

Do I just neef to connect usb frok dac to pc and drivers download automatically and away I go?
Just use any usb port on pc?
Or is it more complicated than that?

Check if your dac maker supplies a driver

What computer and DAC are you using?

Most DACs work on MacOS without the need to install drivers.

Yes. Just connect the two. in most cases it will work immediately.

If you've an old dac, there are box's that convert USB signals to other digital formats.
Older Macs have optical output via the headphone socket too.

Windows 7 pro.
(i cant upgrade as poor eyesight and subsequent versions of windows are worse for this).
Deco audio transfer dac.

I usually use optical via chromecast audio.

I just fancied having a play.
