Lost in Translation
After a long hiatus because of house renovation to set up my coaching clinic, I bought a nice 1968 Ortofon-branded rosewood Thorens TD 124 mk. ll plinth complete with sliding acrylic lid. The lid has a small chip in it and a few small scratches. It has a top plate cut out for a 124 and that will be replaced with the panzerholz one cut out for my 135.
After I finish that, I will get an Ortofon SPU and see how well it plays music
Then comes the fun part where I will gently take the 135 apart and renovate what needs to be renovated.
