So, 15 years in the making, Mr Rose the only member still left ( I wonder why...) sounding like it's stuck in a time warp. Is this CD just a coaster for a cup of cold Nescafe or does anyone actually rate it?
As a standalone album it's not bad, but as one thats had a gestation period of 15 years it's very poor.
15 years ago Axel may have had the vocal range to carry it off, but sadly not now. GnR were so much more than just Axel and it shows. There's nothing on the album that is outstanding, it's just all of a particular level.
Sounds better in the car than on the hi-fi, probably says it all really
So that explains it, much of that $15M went to the marketing boys. The record company must have been in so deep they had to throw even more cash at the marketeers to disguise the turd in the punch bowl.
