Cd Player?

Ok ive almost narrowed down to a few cd players,which one of these should i go for a pioneer 505 precision or a pioneer 904? Both stable platter design. Or marantz cd 6000 ose? Thanks

The 904 is a great player but laser mechs for them are getting very rare.

I would say the 904 too, think it has the beefed up transport mech that the earlier 901 used to have. I have a 20yr old 801 which doesn't really get used anymore but everytime I retrieve it and set it up, it just powers up and gets on with playing, never had a single issue with it from new. Great players in my view.

Ok 2 more to choose from a Philips cd 850 mkll or Rega Apollo (2007 model)

I have a Pioneer 505 (not precision) which I use as a transport feeding an eastern electric minimax dac and the combination sounds excellent. You can pick them up for £50 or less and they seem fairly plentiful so spares should not be a problem..
