CD player with volume control

I am looking for a cd player with volume control as per the Linn Genki and Quad 99 mk11. However, I want to do this on the cheap. Are there any models that fit the bill?

I used to have a Marantz cd17 mkii that had one (via the remote) but that's an old model now. Not a bad player.

A range of Japanese models (Yamaha for example) will have a fixed and variable outputs.
These can be picked up for beer money on the auction site.

A Yamaha model I had in the 90s had this and it was controllable from the remote.
The variable output also changed the headphone socket volume.

Many Sony ES players from the 90's do as well, good examples can often be picked up for around £100.
