Looking for a cd player for my father in law. Budget around £50, local to Stoke even better

I have a slightly cosmetically damaged Marantz DVD player, in good working order. I’m not terribly far from Stoke (Brownhills)… you’re welcome to that for free.

I've had an Arcam DV79 player before. They are great players for the money. There's a tidy looking one for £65 ot best offer on ebay, plus post. The seller might take fifty quid. Still a bit over including postage but it should sound very good for the cash.

In case you didn’t get fixed up, I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray DVD player, barely used as I recall (included as part of a tv purchase, many years ago) so I don’t want anything for it. If you happen to want it I don’t mind meeting up halfway between Derby/Stoke.

No worries if not of course.

Suppose I'm looking at Denon, Nad, Marantz if possible. And defo would have gone for the Arcam if I'd have seen it.
