Can anyone share experiences of record cleaning machines

The alcohol eliminates static. Its not there as a cleaning agent as such ...thats the job of the surfactant you use.

...at least , that's what I have been told.

Alcohol can only help to dry the record faster, but it will leave some residues within the grooves or on the record's surface. I don't recommend using any alcohol.

What residue does alcohol leave behind ?

Arise old thread.
Prompted by Tonys Record Juice thread, I can report that I bought a Project VC-E2. I don't have an enormous number of records but this machine has made all of them better. I had a few Discogs purchases that, despite being NM were so crackly they were unplayable. In all cases the Project made them really MN.
If you have records and don't have a RCM, you're missing out. I'd say they are all but essential.
