broadband router upgrades

Yveski

In the sky......
Im setting up a home network with a NAS, 3 computers, I pad & smart tv.
I am currently using the £5 router supplied from plus net, Im thinking of upgrading my router for a better quality model, does anyone have any suggestions or experience of upgrades in this area?
I am seeking something that is dual band, N wireless with 4 Ethernet ports.
ipad & 2 lap tops are wireless and the rest are hardwired.

The Netgear D6200 looks like a good option, Amazon have a good deal on this model at present.

Had to buy the WNDR3700 as my old Cisco router only supported 70MB download on the wan link. I'm getting 130MB from Virgin now and the netgear handles it brilliantly, also does 900MB over wifi so makes transferring movies to the QNAP very quick and streaming to the bedroom tv will now handle 12GB blueray rips without any buffering pauses.

Just shut up. Here am I squeezing 1.5Mb out of my connection, and there you go waving those sorts of numbers around!

For ADSL I can thoroughly recommend the TP Link W8980 dual band router.

Has replaced the double the cost Draytek nicely. Plus 5Ghz is pretty exclusive for wi-fi.
