If by chance your BitPerfect player starts to play the first 2 seconds of every selected track twice, check that you haven't selected multiple speakers in Airplay. I returned to BitPerfect after a session of multi-room streaming with bare bones iTunes to find the above. In my case the simple remedy was to deselect Airport Expresses in Airplay, leaving only a computer selected for playback.
