B4 Problems

Good work Paul. It's very easy to get caught out with tantalum caps, the marking is very discrete.

Tant caps usually go bang when reversed. Does your multimeter have a capacitance function? If so test them, if you get around 10uF reading they should be ok. However if your'e paranoid about future failures then get some replacements.

Very nice build by the way, very tidy and good components.
 
I would be inclined to replace the caps with new ones. It is relatively cheap to do and it would insure you have a properly functioning preamp.

My meter does not do caps, anyway Luckily I have a spare set of everything as I am planning a 2nd build as a headphone amp.
