In my partner's place in London I have a Naim/Neat system integrated with the TV. The main system is a 202/200 into Neat Motive SX2s and the AV part of it is an ageing Naim AV2/Main NAP V175/Naim n-Cent, n-Sats and n-Sub speaker system to give a 5:1 surround. It's old tech as far as AV goes I know but it works well enough and adds to the film and TV experience quite nicely.
I am half way through the renovation of my property in Norfolk and will soon be onto wiring so have started thinking about AV for the main living room. I want to integrate with with my main system which is Schitt Freya into ATC SCM40As so was thinking of adding an external AV processor and 5 channel amplification with an active sub to give 7:1 surround. However I am these days clueless on the equipment for AV so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I would in all likelihood use ATC speakers/sub (secondhand), but need some recommendations on the processor/amplification front. I don't want to go mad budget wise, but happy to look at sensible options to partner the quality of the main system. Also very happy to buy pre-owned rather than new.
Can anyone recommend anything?
