Seem to be more extensive and dangerous every year. Got within 12 miles of the centre of Sydney a couple of days ago and range all the way to the outskirts of Brisbane.
If it continues there is real risk to the viability of some of Australia's largest cities and very large swathes of the most inhabited parts of the country.
