Audio-lab M-DAC - no power

Hi all - got a total power failure on the M-DAC today, 1st problem since new. I did the obvious and changed the fuse but no good. I have no test gear so can't prove the standard cabled PSU. I know I could send it back to audio-lab but anyone aware of this with M-DAC's.

ISTR there was a problem with the crystal failing to start but I thought there was some indication of power but may be wrong. If you have no test equipment other then sending it for repair I suspect there is not a lot you can do.
 
I've swapped the plug fuse and there's no internal fuse.

I did search the forum via Google (pfm search found nothing) and there's some suggestion from other peoples problems that the crystal could be faulty. But you are right with no test equipment I may need to send it away.

You could try John Westlake, if he can tear himself away from designing the MDAC2.
