Are there any Avondale RMS speaker owners still around here?

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
Was wondering whether there are still anyone here uses the aforementioned speakers in their systems.
Would be interested to see what diferent models were made during production.
Kind regards!

A friend had a pair of RMS1 complete with integrated stands and outboard xovers for sale recently. Now sold, unfortunately I never got to listen to them.
There was also the RMS 2 ,a larger version with two bass drivers.
Both had very elaborate engineered construction I believe.
Both needed a powerful amplifier to drive them properly.

My understanding is that Les never built much more than about 30 pairs alas.

I recently acquired his RMS Genesis turntable and have been very impressed with it.

I've a pair of the Revelation 2 speakers with Carbon Fiber mid base and titanium tweeters at mine. Super sounding speakers. There were two models in the main, 1 and 2s (variants of both 1+2s exist with different drivers) but, I know of one pair of what might have been set to become the Revelation 3's, which were in a larger cabinet again than the 2's, allowing a larger base driver which I saw at Avondale in the early noughties.

I’ve got 3 pairs, (facepalm) and have seen the larger 3 way pair Paddy is referring to.

The 2 pairs of RMS2’s I have are either end of development, the later pair have a more complicated base featuring carbon fibre isolation.

I have a collection of tweeters including the titanium ones, but I also stocked up on the Neat variant that’s popped up on eBay recently.

Woofers are my issue having blown a few. The carbon Monacor doesn’t fit without surgery, I’ve been wanting to try a B110 for size but they’re an expensive trail. Acoustic Energy ae1 driver another interesting possibility?

When you say surgery Mark, remind me, do you mean the cabinets need to be cut to accommodate the Monacor's?

To do them properly, yes, the holes need enlarging, then there’s the issue with fixing holes being about 4mm out.
A new thicker baffle is probably the better/easier option on the rountuit list, I’ll prototype ply, then use Corian.

From the pictures, a B110 will fit, I’d like to get hands on before buying new ( Falcon), then there’s crossover issues.

All good fun, they sound great, although been put on the back burner since Art Moderne 8 arrived.

I'm using Flickr. Copy and paste the BB code is how it works for me (not the link which is also an option). I guess other hosting sites would have something similar

Still no luck. Maybe my profile is not old enough and the platform is not letting me post pictures.
My set is fairly interesting, as it was part of a home cinema system before. :)

Bit late, Yes there are a few of use that own and use AA Revelation speakers and there was a prototype 3 way :

The 'Episode' only one pair ever produced.
