Great sounding, well regarded DAC.

I've said it before......this is the best product Arcam has ever produced. It'll compete with silly money days and won't be shamed. As one reviewer put it... 'if you want to improve on the Arcam D33, you need to be looking at a DCS badge'.
Give it the best power cord along with quality interconnects and fit better internal fuse. You will have your end game dac.
It won't immediately jump out at you but over time you will realise that it does nothing wrong....and so much right.

This is the only DAC I have tried that would be an affordable replacement for my Aqua La Scala when the time comes to release some of the investment, best £800 Dac one could buy.

Its an entirely different sound to the Chord, but IMO having owned both, yes, without doubt!

I put my D33 against a Chord Qutest and found the Arcam to easily best it for sound quality.
